Description

Anime Eye Reference #2!

Yet another reference for drawing anime eyes.
This time, the focus is on color.

Eyes are big part of what makes anime, anime.
They're big, they're shiny, and honestly they hardly look like real eyes.
It's cartooning--have fun with it, break the rules, and figure out what looks
appealing/off the wall crazypants.

Notes:

(Sorry, I'm kind of in a hurry to write these. >_< )

1. Rather standard
2. I kind of see this in older anime. Like late 90s? On those weird bishies. XD
3. Glowing eyes. This is not the greatest example, but when you're drawing glowing
eyes, think rays of light. You can see some kind of straight lines. Also, since it's light, it's gonna brighten up
things around it. Around the eye should be lighter, and tinted towards the color of the light coming
out of the eye. In this case, there's some yellow on the skin around the eye.
4. Android eyes. The goal here is to make it look unnatural. The eye lashes are all the same length, and nature is
not normally so uniform. Also, there is very little coloring to the eye, only a one shadow color and the lighter almost
white color. I also wrote "XP" on the eye, because my android is running Windows XP. Heeheeihatevista If you look at a lot of anime
with androids their eyes tend to lean towards being much more simple than othe characters.
5.Okay, the thing with this eye is that the black parts have a lot of white in them. It makes it shiny/manga-esqe
if you ask me, but hey--it's just anothe effect I'm putting out there. Use it wisely.
6. Another simple eye, it's good in animation cause it's so quick to be drawn. Few colors.
7. Burn tool. It's a good way to get your shinies. But keep in mind--some colors burn to a lighter shade, some colors
burn directly to white. So test
8.Another simple eye. I see it in oekaki and animation. P:
